Click to see original Image in a new windowOn February 10th, 2014 Engine 2801, with Asst. Chief 2810, responded on the general alarm assignment into the Pleasant Plains section of Toms River Twp for the working fire in a private dwelling.

Company News : Units respond to MVA with entrapment

Click to see original Image in a new windowAt 1:30am on Saturday February 8th, 2014 the East Dover Fire Company and the Silverton Fire Company were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of Yellowbank Rd and Vaughn Ave. Lieutenant 2830 was the first arriving fire officer and found a car a short distance into the woods, standing vertical on its front bumper with the roof against a large tree. Toms River Fire Company No.2 was also dispatched on the special request for Heavy Rescue 2624. Members from Silverton Fire Company Heavy Rescue 2917 and East Dover Engine 2811 quickly worked to extricate the surviving occupant of the vehicle under the direct guidance of Chief 2900 acting as the Operations Section leader. East Dover Fire Company Engine 2801 responded to St Justins Church to setup a MedEvac landing zone for the patient.

Company News : Passing of Gerald Logan Sr.

Click to see original Image in a new windowThe East Dover Volunteer Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of Gerald Logan Sr. Gerry was a Life Member of Station 28, NJ Exempt Fire Fighter, and Past Dover Twp. Fire District #1 Fire Police Captain, (when Dover Twp. had District wide fire police). Gerry went to the Fire Police after being injured at a fire while he was a fire fighter with East Dover back in the mid 1970's.
