East Dover Fire Company Station 28 was dispatched 11/8 around 4pm for a vehicle fire. Upon arrival Chief 2800 advised there was 4 vehicles involved including an RV, a bus, a car and a van. An additional engine was requested from the Silverton Fire Company for manpower. First due Engine 2801 stretched 2 1.75" handlines and quickly brought the fire under control. There fire remains under investigation by the TRBFP and TRPD.

East Dover Fire Company just cleared the scene of a large brush fire on Fischer Blvd. The fire burned approximately 6 acres between Golden Dr and Veeder Ave. One commercial structure was damaged by the fire. Fischer Blvd was closed in both directions during the incident. All of the East Dover Fire Company's apparatus were operating on the scene, with the addition of the Island Heights Fire Company, Silverton Fire Company, Toms River Fire Company No 2, NJ Forest Fire Service B7 and crew, the Toms River Police, Toms River OEM EMS, and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department. The NJFFS remains on the scene of the fire monitoring the conditions.

At approximately 1430hrs on April 24th the East Dover Fire Company was alerted to a brush fire in the area of Fischer Blvd and Pumpshire. They encountered a 3 acre marsh fire that quickly spread to 2 neighboring sheds. The fire was quickly brought under control with the assistance of the Silverton Fire Company, Toms River Fire Companies 1 & 2, as well as the NJFFS Division B. NJFFS Bravo 1, a 600 gallon Air Tractor, performed a water drop over the marsh to aid in extinguishing the fire. Fischer Blvd was briefly closed in both directions due to the fire.

Shortly after noon on April 24th the Toms River Fire Communications Center alerted all Toms River Fire Company's to respond with an engine to Berkeley Township, among many other fire companies in Ocean County, as part of a strike force on the forest fire plan. Engine 2811 responded from the East Dover Fire Company. They were assembled into a strike team at the staging area and were tasked with structural protection in the area of Northern Blvd. Engine 2811 remained on scene, within the strike team, until 0700 hrs April 25th.

The fire started near the intersection of Grand Central Parkway and Berkeley Ave. Due to the extreme weather conditions the fire quickly spread before finally encompassing 300+ acres. During this time a second fire broke out on Dover Rd in Berkeley Township, consuming an additional 200+ acres.
