Just before 1800 hours on Mothers Day, the company was alerted to a structure fire on Anthony Ave, in the Gilford Park section of Toms River. Station 53, the Island Heights Fire Company was also dispatched to the fire. Upon arrival of the first due fire officer, fire was showing from the "B" side of a single story dwelling. Engine 5301 was first on scene and stretched a hand line through the front door to make an attack on the fire. Crews from 2811 and 2865 stretched a backup line, performed searches, and performed ventilation. Overhaul was conducted by all crews, and the scene was turned over to the Toms Rive Bureau of Fire Prevention for investigation. More photos here. Courtesy Stacey Spotts
